JOB SUMMARY: Create the practices, programs and communications tools to ensure all Driscoll’s employees have the business and company information they need to effectively perform their jobs. Enhance our culture using communications practices to ensure that our employees stay current about—and engaged in—Driscoll’s global operations in alignment with our mission and values. Be a leader and coach to our employees in the areas of communications best practices. Through the use of various communications media, foster a sense of community, inclusion, trust and shared knowledge that supports Driscoll’s growth strategies.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field required; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of strategic communications or related experience.
• Bilingual English / Spanish strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to develop and execute results-driven communications strategies that are aligned with business goals and objectives.
• Ability to work in a matrix environment.
• Excellent writer and editor; solid presentation skills.
• Hands-on experience with full suite of communications techniques, vehicles and processes.
• Functional experience in at least one other business domain in addition to communications. (e.g. marketing, human resources, sales, business development, etc.)
• Understanding of how internal communications influences business results and engagement and performance, and promoter of continuous feedback mechanisms.
• Ability to comprehend complex issues over a wide variety of issues and business imperatives and communicate from an insider's perspective; always adapting language to target audience.
• Must possess a valid CA driver’s license and have the ability to travel.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1. Lead, design and execute strategic integrated internal communications plans.
2. Play a key role in setting and achieving strategies and objectives for internal communications.
3. Create messaging and standardize communication tools to foster a strong internal culture, ensure consistency and build a strong corporate brand with all internal communications.
4. Provide regular and ongoing counsel to management on internal communications to help them become more effective in communicating key messages and information about our business and about the company.
5. Identify creative opportunities for senior management to communicate with internal audiences. Ensure that the company's communications vehicles and tools are appropriate and relevant to effectively target employees at different job and experience levels.
6. Ensure day-to-day support for all levels of leadership and the field (plants/offices) globally.
7. Develop and implement appropriate metrics to evaluate the success and impact of internal communications activities and design strategies to continuously improve.
8. Provide direction and a consistent process around company crisis communication.
9. Write articles, speeches, and other materials as needed.
10. Apply innovative approaches that improve the speed, coverage and impact of internal communications leveraging the company website, social media, etc.
11. Work closely with the leadership team to align internal communications and resources with the company's top priorities and effectively support business priorities.
12. Partner with the Marketing Director to ensure accuracy, consistency and timeliness of corporate messaging inside and outside of the company.
13. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
