Job Summary:
The Test Engineer/Build Master I is primarily responsible for test planning, developing test cases and test implementation, and testing applications in support of the development team. Also responsible for controlling the state of applications throughout the development process by maintaining version control and working with team members to deploy the application in test and production environments.


Job Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field of study and 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Some programming experience or education required.
• Some experience with Web and application servers, networking, and version control a plus.
• Some experience with database management and administration.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and organizational skills.
• Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, iterative collaborative environment is essential.
• Excellent knowledge of the entire product development/testing life cycle and processes.
• Experience with Version Control required.
• Demonstrated strong verbal, written and presentation skills required; valid CA driver’s license.
• Requires the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Occasional travel and after-hours support required.
• Works independently or with minimal supervision.
• Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Comfortable with dynamic environment, flexible in times of change.




Responsibilities:
• Has primary responsibility for designing, writing, and implementing test cases.
• Prepares, deploys and maintains projects on Development, Test, Stage and Production systems.
• Writes test code and Implements automated tests using development and testing tools
• Manages Automated Build process and tools.
• Troubleshoots application and application-related environmental issues.
• Works with team members to determine and set up test data and systems.
• Ensures defects generated during the testing process are thoroughly documented, tracked and reported. Communicates across I.T. teams to guarantee synchronicity of defect tracking and deployment.
• Manages code base in version control tool. Maintains versioning across development, test, stage and production environments.
• Deploys and manages Database modifications to Test, Stage, and Production systems.
• Researches improvements to test and build processes/tools.
