JOB SUMMARY: As a member of the Application Support team, the Application Test Engineer is primarily responsible for test planning, developing test cases, and testing applications. Under general supervision, constructs, manages, and maintains test plans.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in related field of study and 2-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and organizational skills. Self motivated and works well in a team environment. Excellent knowledge of the entire product development/testing life cycle and processes. Ability to code in C#, .NET, or other programming languages to conduct testing at various architectural layers. Demonstrated strong verbal, written and presentation skills required; valid CA driver’s license. Requires the ability to manage multiple projects. Travel and after-hours support required. Works independently or with minimal supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Analyze functional specifications, use cases, business rules and other available documentation to develop high level and detailed test cases.
• Work with project team members to determine and setup test data.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies to assist with daily testing activities and increase test efficiency where appropriate.
• Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated scripts and architectures.
• Execute functional, integration and regression tests for assigned software releases.
• Ensure defects generated during the testing process are thoroughly documented, tracked, and reported.
• Create and update support documentation, provide input into WIKI and knowledge base programs.
• Identify, research and resolve technical problems.
• Work successfully in a dynamic, interrupt-driven team environment.
